SUKLU RESIDENCY

Suklu begins his residency by assisting with the installation of the Truly Bagus II Harmony in Diversity exhibition in the Cullity Gallery. Joining the curatorial hanging team wasTom Griffiths and Hamida Novakovich.

The set back of inclement weather and a serpentine belt that did not want to play the game led to an early start at the Ancient Rock Studio Byford.

Suklu's immediate response to his arrival a spontaneous and joyous out pouring of abstract line and tone.

Artlaab located on Broadway Nedlands will be Suklu's operational centre until the end of his residency on October 5 2012

STATEMENT:
Objects: stones, leaves, visual graphics, soil, and other artifacts that had been present, giving energy to the things in my mind and in my subconscious.

The relationships of these three space objects are usually gave me reflections on the meaning of something that each of us would feel differently.

The first time when I set my feet in Perth: I sew an overlay of landscape, trees, houses, city, wind, warm of sun, graded clouds and full moon!
Then my imagination run into Bali bombing 10 years ago.
